How To Play
The easiest way to learn how to play Mine Fields is playing the TUTORIAL in the CAMPAIGN mode. The rules are quite manageable:
The objective of MINE FIELDS is to clear a board containing hidden MINES without detonating any of them.
You clear a field by selecting the green DIG ICON and tapping on the field you want to reveal.
At first you should clear all the fields which directly lie next to landscape objects. There are never BOMBS located around landscape objects.
A field’s number tells how many mines the field is surrounded by.
You click on the blue MARK ICON to mark the field as a bomb. If you MARK a wrong field NOTHING happens, if you DIG a wrong field you LOOSE!
As soon as you have marked all the fields containing bombs and opened up all the fields which are mine-free YOU WIN!
Extra: If a level supports the Mine-Scanner you can reveal a field by spending 5 coins without getting harmed which you earn through opening high numbered fields.

Game Modes
While in CAMPAIGN you’ll have to play different missions to proceed, in the other game type INSTANT ACTION you’ll be able to compete your skills with other players worldwide. Both CAMPAIGN and INSTANT ACTION include two different game modes:
Modern
In the Modern Game Mode you play with Coins and the Mine-Scanner. If you dig a field containing a high number gives you a high chance of finding coins which you can use to scan hidden fields. To get you faster into the pace, Modern Mode has Landscape Objects included, where you can dig around safely.
Classic
In the Classic Game Mode there are neither Coins nor landscape objects. Your first digging is always free of mines.
Warning: Classic Mode can’t be played without guessing!
Difficulty
While the difficulty of the campaign is certain, in the INSTANT ACTION games you can choose between three difficulties with a different amount of mines:

Strategies [BASIC]
Here are some easy to follow patterns improving your gameplay!
Basic 1
The 1 on the corner touches only 1 field, so it must be a mine.
Basic 2
The 2 touches 2 fields, so they must both be mines.
Basic 3
The 3 touches 3 fields, so they must all be mines.
Basic 4
The 4 touches 4 fields, so they must all be mines.
Basic 5
The 5 touches 5 fields, so they must all be mines.
Basic 6
The 6 touches 6 fields, so they must all be mines.
Basic 7
The 7 touches 7 fields, so they must all be mines.
Basic 8
The 8 touches 8 fields, so they must all be mines.
Strategies [ADVANCED]
Edge 1
There is 1 mine in the first two fields, and 1 mine in the first three fields. The 3rd field over must be empty.
Edge 2
There is 1 mine in the first two fields, and 2 mines in the first three fields. The 3rd field over must be a mine.
